    Around three kilometres from the city’s centre, in a town Trondenes, there is situated, coming from the middle ages, a rock church. It is the furthest located to the north middle-aged building in the world.

    In the city’s neighbourhood there is the Centre of History of Trondenes. Exhibits, which you will see there, are dedicated to the region’s history, mainly times, when Vikings used to live there. Remember that it is closed on Saturdays!

    In a dazzling port Hardstad, very often you can one of the oldest schooners in the world – the ship Anna Rogde. It was built in 1868 and still sails close to the shores!

What’s worth seeing in Harstad?

Harstad is the town situated in Troms, one of nineteen countries, to which Norway is divided. It the second biggest town in its region, even though it has a bit more than twenty thousand inhabitants. Harstad is located in the northern east part of the island Hinnøya, alongside beautiful, long for forty-six kilometres fjord Vågsfjorden.

That tiny town in Norway is called the cultural capital of the north, as well as the most romantic place in the country. Harstad, situated mainly on a big Island, as well as on the territory of a few smaller islands, it has gorgeous, sandy beaches, allowing for bath in delightful nature circumstances or calm fishing.
