Araçatuba, often referred to as simply Araça, is a city located in the northwest part of Brazilian state
São Paulo. In close neighbourhood flows the river Tietê, which is unusually clean in that place, so it attracts many people, longing for cooling down in hot days, that are plenty of in this area. To spend a pleasant day by the river, you don’t need to go far, the journey should take not more than half an hour.

As in majority places in the world, also in Araçatuba you will find a restaurant with great dishes of Italian cuisine, which is Pizzaria Donna Oliva at Avenida Saudade 1225. So if you don’t imagine a day without a delicious pizza, make sure to go there. To those interested in Brazilian tastes, we can recommend for instance Barracao at Rua Humaita 966 or Bola 7 at Avenida Paulista. Yummy dishes you can also taste in Padaria Bandeirantes at Rua Bandeirantes 729.
If you are going to Araçatuba for a weekend and you plan to spend evenings outside, you won’t be complaining for lack of bars or clubs. Especially in the centre they are situated on every corner. Great drinks you can expect, for instance, in the Portuguese at Avenida da Saudade 872 or Porks at Rua Aguapeí 1884. On the streets in the evenings you will find many people, in different ages, both locals, as well as travellers. You certainly won’t be bored there.
