Cliffs over there are famous for their uniqueness, and local river is a home for many seals, as well as for marvellous, but predatory Erne.
Staying in Båtsfjord, make sure to visit nearby fisherman villages. One of the most popular villages is Hamningberg, in which to this day are preserved original houses and farm buildings, made entirely of wood. It is an extraordinary example of an old architecture, as most of it was destroyed during the Second World War. Today houses are used only in summer for accommodation.
