From the airport to the city you can get in less than half an hour. Choose a taxi (it is of course the most expensive option), bus or the underground, getting in a train of green line.
Chinatown in Singapore is really huge, going from the centre to the southern-west direction for a few kilometres. It looks especially lovely during a Chinese New Year.

Singapore is not a city, which will fascinates you with old buildings, though it is not rather a reason for you to visit it. But still it has a district whose architecture is in colonial style – it is situated on the northern part of a river and you can see there a few really lovely buildings. There is a parliament, a theatre, as well as, the most beautiful of them, a hotel Fullerown.
Colourfulness and diversity is probably the most accurate description of that city. You can see there districts, that each of has its unique style. There is Chinatown and Little India, with around one million of inhabitants and stalls, on which you can try genius, Hindu cuisine. Also Arabs have their own area, it is a smelling of shisha Arab Street.
In the evenings the city really wakes up to life – leave your hotel and go grab something to eat. The most popular are halls, called hawker centres, in which under one roof are located tons of stalls with food from all corners of Asia. Dishes are delicious, diversified and cheap. Do you wonder in what region it is best to spend the evening? Clarke Quay – there, even on a Monday evening, party is on. All eateries are full of people, and one of the most interesting places is Beer Market. Prices of beers are adjusted there to demand for them!
