Verona is the city of love, so don’t avoid visiting a house, which it is famous for. Casa di Giulietta, the house, in which as we can assume, the family of Capulletti used to live. For shopping go to Piazza delle Erbe. You will buy the most interesting souvenirs. We especially recommend wooden, hand-made Pinocchio figures. They come in different sizes – from key rings to nearly one-metre effigies. Or maybe a wooden yo-yo with a huge nose? You can get them too.
While sightseeing rest like a citizen of Verona – take a seat in one of cafes in side streets and order light dish and drink with low level of alcohol. The most popular one is Spritz, cocktail based on Prosecco, a sweet liquor and mineral water.
When you get hungry, delicious and quite cheap – like for local standards – dinner you can eat in Il Punto Rosa at Via Fratta. Order pasta with shrimps or board of local hams and cheese. You don’t have time to seat and eat? Delicious takeaway dish are served in La Bottega della Gina at Via Farma. Their ravioli can’t compare to anything other. For a dessert we recommend Gelateria La Romana Verona at Piazza Santo Spirito. They even serve there ice creams of pesto taste.
