Namibia
Namibia is a country in southwestern Africa, bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. Covering an area of 824,292 km², it is home to about 3 million people. The capital, Windhoek, is situated in the heart of the country. Namibia is defined by its arid climate and strikingly diverse landscapes, from the vast Namib and Kalahari deserts to sweeping savannas. English is the official language, though African languages are widely spoken. The best time to visit is from May to September, when temperatures are mild and rainfall is scarce.
