The Emirates airline is owned by the government of the United Arab Emirates. It was established in October 1985. The first flight took place on the Karachi – Bombay route, and in July 1987 the lines reached Europe. The first airport where Emirates plane landed in Europe was London Gatwick. In the mid-1990s, the carrier inaugurated the first flights within Southeast Asia, and specifically with Singapore.

The exclusive waiting rooms before departure are also dedicated to them. The Emirates’ fleet consists mainly of wide-body aircraft, but the line also has narrow-body Airbus A319-100CJ, which is used to carry VIPs. The carrier's fleet is among the youngest in the world.
