JetStar Airways – baggage allowance
JetStar Airways baggage policy is a system divided into various tariff services. All baggage restrictions may vary depending on the fare and route. The best solution is to check the JetStar baggage allowance before the flight. Thanks to this, passengers can avoid additional baggage fees.
JetStar Airways hand baggage allowance
In the case of the Starter fares, passengers can take two pieces of JetStar hand baggage and the maximum weight of these items can’t exceed 7 kg. The acceptable dimensions of the main baggage are 56cm (H) x 36cm (W) x 23cm (D). A smaller item, such as a hand bag or laptop bag, must fit under the seat. Passengers who want to take more hand baggage with them can purchase an additional service to increase the total weight of hand luggage to 10 kg, or choose a different fare.
JetStar Airways checked baggage allowance
Passengers who want to take JetStar checked baggage add this option to their booking and they are allowed to take checked baggage between 15 and 40 kg. However, a single item can’t exceed 32 kg. Checked baggage is not included with Economy Starter fares. All necessary information regarding the JetStar checked baggage policy can be found on the carrier's official website.
Jetstar Airways – booking classes
JetStar Airways want to provide customers with high-quality services and very comfortable flights. This is why the airline has a very well-developed booking class system with many different possibilities to choose. Some of the services are not included in the airline tickets price. Passengers can choose the JetStar economy class, which is also called the Starter fare. Individual tariffs are also divided into bundles, such as Starter Plus bundle, Starter Max bundle or Flex bundle. Every passenger can create the perfect combination that meets their requirements and needs. There is also the option of choosing the JetStar Airways Business Class. Each of these options differs in terms of acceptable baggage size and weight, additional in-flight services, prices, and formal issues such as flight cancellation.
JetStar Airways – online check in
JetStar Airways online check in is available on most routes. A lot of passengers decide to choose this option because they want to save time. In the case of domestic flights in Australia and New Zealand and after purchasing the seat, JetStar online check in opens 28 days before the flight and closes 35 minutes before departure. If passengers have not purchased a seat, online check-in starts 2 days before the planned flight and closes 35 minutes before departure. After completing the process, the system will generate the boarding pass. This document is necessary to board the plane so each passenger has to remember about it. You can print it or save the PDF with an electronic version of your boarding pass.

Horrible.
The line was over and hour long. Was only allowed to check a 15kg bag and had to pay ¥7500 because my bag was 20kg. Who would check a bag that is only 15 kg?! That is the size of a carry-on!!! I will never fly Jetstar again!

Penny pinching, rude, and arbitrary
I only wish they had some competition for direct flights. Avoid if you can. The final straw was when they refused to let me bring my coffee aboard that I had just bought. What respectable airline bans bringing drinks on board. I'm sure they wanted me to buy their crap coffee on board. Well, F them.

Very angry
I booked my flight with an 15 kg luggage cause it was not an other option when I did the booking, I try to update on the app but couldn’t so I say my self it’s ok I will fix that at the airport. The hostess at my arrival had weight absolutely everything I had with me even my little hand bag and made me pay 200 dollars extra for 4 kg, and in same time she told me that if I did check any luggage it will be 100, that hostess just was looking to make money. At the end my plane cost me almost 500 dollars because of that. I will never fly again with jet start NEVER. And don’t expect to watch a movie during your flight, you will have to pay for anything you want to use in the plane. Thanks god toilet were for free.
