Luggage

Travel classes
You can flight in economic or business class with KLM airlines.
On international routes of this class passengers are provided with tailored-attractions, private screens, music channels, shopping offer. Passengers have warm dishes, breakfasts, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks provided. On short distance flights KLM is providing passengers of economic class with fresh refreshments, drinks and amusement services. On routes lasting longer than 60 minutes, passengers can purchase products from special onboard catalogue.
Passengers of economic class can have with them in price of a ticket one hand luggage weighting up to 12 kg, of size 55x25x35 cm and 1 registered luggage weighting up to 23 kg.
Business class is serving passengers amenities already before the departure. On the airport they can use special stand of quick check-in and comfortable waiting room on a few bigger airports in the world. Passengers flying with business class are sitting on seats with massage function, equipped with small TV screens, they also have additional space for legs, individual access to power socket, Internet for portable computer, reading light and personal phone. Business class passengers can also order food from rich menu. Ona long distance flight they can count on special dishes with a glass of red wine and extensive amusement offer. In some planes there are also take-down seats.
Passengers of business class can take with them 2 hand luggage of weight of up to 18 kg each and 3 registered luggage of 23 kg each, included in their fare.

Fleet
The fleet for passenger flights of the Dutch carrier consists of machines of type Airbus A330-200, A330-300, Boeing 737-700, 737-800, 737-900, 747-400, 747-400M, 777-200ER, 777-300ER. Their total number is 110, and average age is 9 years.
The airport Amsterdam Schiphol
It is the biggest airport in the Netherlands and the fourth biggest in Europe. It is situated around 15 km in southern west direction from the Dutch capital. The airport is main base for airlines KLM. On its area there is a hotel Mercury Schiphol, in the main hall and the passenger area there are many bars, restaurants, cafes, in many spots there vending machines with drinks, sweets or snacks. Apart from that, in the general access zone there are stores with different type of products. On the whole airport’s area there is free access to Internet, whereas in special points you can use connected to the network computers.
Refreshments
Passengers of business class on long distance flights are served with three dishes meal. Flying through Europe with that class, get cold dish and warm dish, or three dishes, depending on flight’s duration. Passengers of economic class on long distance flights are served with warm dishes and, depending on flight’s duration, with another warm dish or a breakfast. On short routes they receive sandwiches with sweet or spicy snack. On most KLM flights there is served free alcohol. In both travel classes there is possibility of ordering special meal up until 24 or 36 hours before the departure. Special meal comprise of menu for kid, vegetarian dishes, meals according to medical treatment or in accordance with religion beliefs.
Additional services
On board of KLM planes the carrier in all classes is providing passengers with audio or video system on their demand, that has interactive amusement, among others: world class films, TV programs, music, language course. System also allows sending messages and mails. One of the planes, Boeing 777-300ER, is equipped with WiFi, than can be used after the plane reaches given altitude.

I was very disappointed in my entire travel experience. Having always traveled Emirates, KLM was a new experience for me. Lack of communication all round to then receiving emails from KLM in another language notifying me of a canceled flight from Amsterdam to Dublin. I had to Google Translate this email which turned out to be Polish. The new flight was then also canceled so I landed in Amsterdam with no knowledge of where and when I was going. It was a shambles as my flight was not even on the notice boards so I had to queue for an hour to get info on this. My Amsterdam Dublin flight was then delayed more than 3hrs so I missed my train to Kerry, S Ireland. All in all, a nightmare.

good
The plane was more new and nice. Had more space and the infotainment system was great. Staff was helpful. Food was ok, but not as good as I had on other airlines. Was kind of awkward when the staff knocked on the toilet door when I was there ( implying I was there very long and other people want to go in too...) even tough I really wasn't...literally walked in 2min ago to brush my teeth...That was not great, considering If I really "had to go" would they open the door or what? ok...but nevertheless the flight was smooth and comfortable.
