Laudamotion is an Austrian low cost airline. The carrier's history is quite long. The airline was founded in 2003 under the name Niki, and one of the co-founders was former Formula 1 champion Niki Lauda. A year later, the carrier started cooperation with Air Berlin and in 2011 both lines were joined together. Unfortunately, in December 2017, Niki ceased operations. In January 2018 Niki Lauda bought the Air Berlin line and re-launched their operation with the current name - Laudamotion. The important fact is that Ryanair owns 100% of the company's shares.
