SAS
The history of that Scandinavian Airline is dated back to 1946. It was created as a consortium of domestic airlines of three countries: Denmark, Norway and Sweden. The main premises of SAS is Stockholm Arlanda airport. The airline belong to the most modern and innovative carriers, it is also the largest carrier of the Nordic countries. As the first in the world it began in the 1960s to fly over the North Pole, thereby shortening the cruise to Japan from 52 to 32 hours. SAS was also a pioneer in introducing of eco-friendly aircraft. It belonged to one of the first, which introduced the economic class. SAS is a founding member of Star Alliance, and thanks to its partners it offers the largest system of air connections in the world. In the connections’ network of the airline are airports of Europe, Asia and North America. The carrier is present, among others, at Polish airports, its planes land in Gdańsk, Łódź, Poznań, Warsaw and Wrocław.
