Baggage
The fare covers one piece of a hand luggage which the passengers are entitled to take onboard. The size and weight of the baggage is regulated by the carrier's terms and conditions. If any of the conditions have not been met, the passanger will be required to pay for extra luggage which will be placed in the cargo hold. The liquids should be contained within 100 ml bottles and placed in a plastic bag measuring 20 by 20 cm.
The size and weight of the registered baggage is also strictly regulated and should be adhered to. The passengers are allowed to pay for additional pieces of registered luggage however it's limited to five pieces per person. The Volotea registered luggage fee applies.
The carrier allows transport of animals in the cabin. The weight of the animal in the transporter should not exceed 8 kg. The animal should be at least eight weeks old.
Booking a class
Volotea Airlines have affordable tickets fare, therefore they don't divide the cabin into different class standards. All passengers travel in economic class. However, with additional payment the passengers can book a seat in the front of the cabin with expanded leg space.
Online check-in
Like many other carriers, Volotea also give their passengers online check-in option. The passengers who booked their flight, may download their boarding pass directly. The passengers who haven't selected their seats, may check-in from four days up to two and a half hours prior the flight. They can even download their boarding passes onto their phones.
It is crucial to note that every change made to the planned journey requires a newly prited boarding card. Volotea online check-in is free of charge. The passengers who haven't checked-in and arrive at the airport without their boarding card, may fulfil all formalities there and then, however a 30 euro fee applies.
Fleet
The Volotea fleet is composed of thirty advanced airplanes, among them Airbus 319 and Boeing 717. The first type of a machine is used on long distance routes and it may reach up to 3500 km.The aircraft has 150 comfortable seats with bigger than usual seat pitch.
The Boeing 717 airplanes can transport up to 125 passengers (every row contains five seats) and the reach of the plane is 2500 km. The aim of the carrier is to have the Airbus machines only in their fleet.
Venice – Marco Polo Airport
The main Volotea Airport is Venice – Marco Polo. It's located only 12 km from the city centre of Venice. Tourists may travel to and from the airport by a bus, taxi, a water tram or railway. The Venice -Marco Polo airport has a very modern terminal. There's an arrival lounge on the ground floor and check-in area with departures hall upstairs. The second floor is dedicated to business lounge.
The airport has a free Wi-Fi network. The passengers can also enjoy many shops, cafés, restaurants and may use ATMs, Information Desks, First Aid or a prayer room. They can also rent a car or book a hotel at the airport.
The airport attends to regular flights as well as charter flights. The IATA code of the airport is VCE.
Additional services
Volotea offer their passengers joining the Megavolotea club. There are many benefits for the club members like promotional offers and discounts for the carrier's services. The membership fee applies however there's a 30 day trial which is free of charge. Another payable service is the Flex offer. It allows making changes to the reservation without limits up to 4 hours before the planned journey without the risk of financial loss.
There's also the Combo and Combo Plus offer which gives the passengers extra deals for additional services. During flight the passengers may enjoy some entertainment like the movies, cartoons, series or TV programmes in English, Spanish, Italian and French. They may also relax while listening to music.

Very bad with no communication
My flight was canceled due to snow in Strasbourg. We were already lined up and waiting to board. Then we got no instructions just told to go home. We later got a text message that there would be a bus to take us to Strasbourg. The message said we will give details about time and place in a later text. We received no other text and no information. I went to the airport and was told the bus left very early. Then a supervisor told me he was able to get me on the flight on Thurs but I got no ticket. I stayed at the airport all day but was denied boarding. I went back to the supervisor and he would not talk to me. I found out that there was NO bus that morning. They lied to us. I met other passengers that were told to wait all day but we all got nothing. I was then told that all the flights from Nice to Strasbourg were all booked until Sunday. I am furious. I try to call but there is no answer. Now I am not in Strasbourg, but I must pay for the hotel reservations! I have a flight scheduled from Strasbourg to Nice for Mon and I must pay for that flight even though I am NOT in Strasbourg. No one will reply to me or answer my questions. Volotea is unresponsive to my problems.

Very pleased with esky.com
Was happy to see boarding passes in my email from Esky well ahead of time. Already booked another flight using esky and will use them again. Volotea filled airplane, separated from my traveling partner, no way to change seats. Somewhat disorganized boarding which did not surprise me, but was annoying. Otherwise, okay.

Good communication from eSky. Received boarding pass in good time. First flight with Volotea too. Couldn't have been better. No hassle checking in. Flight left on time and arrived early. Flight staff good. Bags off loaded in good time.

40 minute de retard à l'allar et 50 minutes de retard au retour, explications du commandant de bord innaudibles, discours de fin de sieste, pas rassurant pour le vol. c'est du n'importe quoi !!!
