Westjet baggage policy
Each carrier has its own baggage policy. Passengers who decide to fly with Westjet airlines must follow some rules associated with baggage transportation. The size of checked baggage cannot exceed 157 cm and the baggage can’t weigh more than 23 kilograms. Passengers can also take hand-baggage. Hand baggage cannot exceed 53cm x 38cm x 23 cm. The carrier also allows you to take personal items on board. It can be, for example, a laptop or a purse. The size can’t exceed 41 cm x 33 cm x 15 cm. All the baggage limits are available on the carrier’s website. Each passenger can check all important information, such as baggage fees, before flight, which will help to avoid unnecessary problems at the airport.

The possibility to check in online ends 45 minutes before departure for domestic flights and 60 minutes before departure for international flights. Online check in is simple and intuitive. The most important thing is to save a version of your e-boarding pass on your phone. A print version of an e-boarding pass will not be accepted. Like a charter with no leg room

I like the planes, however the computer was down when I tried to checkin -- so I went through the whole process only to be told to do it at the airport the next day. My seat was changed to sit next to my husband, when I had booked and selected a window seat (as the window seat was my priority). We had to wait about 45 minutes on the tarmac before we were allowed to take off. My suitcase didn't make it home. I opened up a claim upon my arrival (Sunday night) -- it is now Wednesday and I still haven't heard anything. Ironically a couple months ago my brother flew Westjet from Calgary to Orange County (CA) and they lost his bags on that flight too. All these things could have happened on any flight -- so I always keep that in mind.

I feel WestJet is one of the best airlines I have travelled with. I feel that because the employees are also owners of the company. They take pride in how things are run.

Lost Luggage
Not sure if it was West Jet or BA but we were told our luggage would go all the way through from Calgary to Newcastle, however, they lost my husbands luggage and we didn't get it until Christmas Eve. Unacceptable.

My bag did not arrive at Saskatoon, which caused a little disruption. But it was sent by courier the next day, which was good service.

Great service in spite of full full ifht

Unfortunately the trip home was unpleasant as staff members while going up and down the isle would knock themselves into passengers. The first time this ocxurred, I was well into my seat and even after repositioning I was hit two more times by staff hurrying up and down the isle. Not pleasant and I am not a large person. There was no need for this behaviour
