The Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport is Hungary's largest airport and the second largest in Central Europe. Its origins date back to May 1950. Nowadays, the airport aspires to be the best and most popular airport in this part of Europe. Hungarian composer and pianist Ferenz Liszt has been its patrons since 2011. The airport is located 16 km southeast of the center of the Hungarian capital, Budapest. The airport has four terminals: 1, 2A, 2B, Cargo. It is served by 35 airlines-serving connections throughout Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. The airport is the base for Ryanair and Wizz Air. During the year, the airport serves over 10.2 million passengers. An on-site hotel is available.

Bus and Metro
Public transport is very well organized. Passengers are picked up by bus - Bus 200 directly from Terminals 1 and 2 to the final metro station Köbánya-Kispest. This new service is ideally suited for passengers. Buses run very often from early morning too late at night. Another line that connects the airport to the Kőbánya-Kispest metro station is bus 23. You can take the train from the metro station and reach the Deák Ferenc Square city center in 20 min.
Train
The nearest railway station Budapest Airport Terminal 2 is Ferihegy, and trains run to/from the Nyugati railway station in Budapest. Almost 100 trains a day provide easy access to and from the city in less than half an hour. A bus 200E during the day, and a bus number 900 at night run from the Ferihegy Terminal 2 train station.
Minibus
The airport also has its own carrier - "Airport Minibus". Passengers who use minibuses are brought to every address in Budapest. Drivers know the city well and always choose the shortest and fastest routes. They are located in front of the terminals. The company that is recommended is Fotaxi, in which the drivers are trained and experienced, and know at least one foreign language.
The airport is located outside the city, on the beltway, 16 km east of the city center on the main road No. 4. It is easily accessible from anywhere in Budapest. The travel time from the city center via the "Ferihegy High-Speed Road" should not take more than 20 minutes.

Dining – while waiting for your flight, you can use the services of the bars, restaurants, cafes and pub.

Shopping – there are several stores within the airport, including duty free.
Car rentals – six companies provide services at the airport: Avis, Buchbinder, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt. Their offices are located at terminal 2A and 2B of arrivals.
Baggage – the lost-and-found office located at the arrivals of terminal 2B. At Skycourt, the luggage storage is located on the ground floor near the reception H. Securing the luggage against damage during the flight with a protective foil is also possible at the airport. Luggage carts are payable at the airport.
Chapel - In the Mezzanine of terminal 2B there is an ecumenical chapel for all faiths and religions, which is open every day from 4:00 am to midnight.
Post Office - Post Office points are located at the terminals T1 and A2. They are open from 8: 00 am- 3:30 pm with a break between 12:00 am and 12:30pm.
Internet – within the airport there is an access to wireless Internet for free for the first 2 hours.
Others - At the Sky Court you will find a viewing terrace partly outside. There is a cafe under the roofed part. The terrace is open daily from 7:30 am to 6:00pm.
