Albania
Albania, in the Balkans, borders Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Kosovo. It has access to the Adriatic Sea in the west and the Ionian Sea in the south-west. The capital is Tirana. The country is 75% mountainous, with lowlands along the Adriatic. You will find Lake Skadar, Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa here. The Mediterranean climate brings hot summers (30°C) and mild winters. The best time to visit is spring or autumn, when temperatures are more pleasant for sightseeing.
