Uruguay
Uruguay is a South American country bordering Argentina and Brazil, with access to the Atlantic. The capital is Montevideo, on the River Plate. Uruguay consists mainly of gently rolling lowlands, forming a transition between the Argentine pampas and the Brazilian Highlands. Its highest peak, Catedral, rises to 513 m above sea level. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers. The best time to travel is spring and autumn, when temperatures are pleasant. The country's name comes from the Guarani language.
