Yemen
Yemen is a country at the south-western tip of the Arabian Peninsula, bordering Saudi Arabia and Oman. Its shores are washed by the Arabian Sea, the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea. The capital is Sanaa, and other important cities include Aden and Ta'izz. The country is dominated by mountainous terrain, with Jabal an-Nabi Shu'ayb (3,760 m above sea level) as its highest peak. The dry tropical climate brings little rainfall. The best time to visit is spring, when temperatures are milder. Yemen is a member of the Arab League.
