Austria
Austria is a landlocked country in Central Europe, made up of nine federal states, with Vienna as its capital. A member of the European Union since 1995, Austria is renowned for its Alpine landscapes, with mountains covering more than half of its territory. The country’s highest peak, Großglockner, rises to 3,797 meters above sea level. The Danube River flows through Austria, adding to its scenic charm. The climate is temperate, featuring cool winters and warm summers. Spring and summer are the best times to visit, when nature is at its most beautiful.
