Port Elizabeth
Gqeberha, formerly Port Elizabeth, lies in the southern part of South Africa on Algoa Bay, on the Indian Ocean. The city, with around 967 thousand inhabitants, is an important industrial and commercial centre. Here you will find a commercial port, a fishing harbour and a university. Gqeberha is home to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, which hosted matches of the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The climate is temperate, with mild winters and warm summers, which makes it an appealing destination all year round.
