Fujairah
Fujairah City, the capital of Fujairah emirate, is a bustling industrial and commercial hub nestled on the east coast of the United Arab Emirates. Overlooking the Gulf of Oman, this seventh-largest UAE city sits at the foot of the Hajar Mountains. Its population of 118,933 has been steadily growing, with native Emiratis making up to 40% of the residents. Fujairah is known for its hot desert climate, with summer highs reaching 41°C and milder winters averaging 25°C. Despite the heat, it's best visited between December and March when rainfall is highest. In 2022, the city experienced significant flooding, marking a rare weather event in its history.
