Bahamas
The Bahamas is an island nation in the Atlantic Ocean, located within the Bahama Archipelago, part of the West Indies. Covering 13,880 km², its highest point is Mount Alvernia, rising 63 meters above sea level. Of the roughly 700 islands, only 26 are inhabited. The capital is Nassau, home to about 382,600 people. The climate is tropical, with average summer temperatures around 27 °C and winter temperatures near 21 °C. The best time to visit is from December to April, when you can avoid hurricane season. Don’t miss the coastal salt marshes and mangroves, which are among the archipelago’s natural highlights.
