In order to feel the vibe of the old Accra, it is worth taking a look at the Jamestown district, where you will find the colonial buildings and the lighthouse erected in the 1930s, damaged by the teeth of time.
About 45 km north-east of the center of Accra, there is the unusual Shai Hills Resource Reserve – a perfect place for walking and cycling.
It is a cultural centre where you can see unique works created by local artists. There is also a shop, a bar and a garden where outdoor events take place.

There are also several interesting escape rooms and exclusive casinos in the city. Ghana's cuisine is a mix of different flavors and aromas. In connection with the colonial past of the country, in the cuisine of Accra you can see the distinct influences of European cuisine, especially the French one. However, an interesting experience will be tasting of traditional West African dishes, such as fufu and banku with tilapia. Noteworthy is also a jollof (a dish based on rice) and a kebab with ... snails. You can visit the restaurant Chez Afrique or Azmara for specialties of the local cuisine. You will eat delicious dishes from chicken and locally grown vegetables in Country Kitchen. For delicious ice creams, it's worth queuing for Pinkberry, and you’ll get the best coffee in town in Vida e Caffe.
