What’s worth seeing in Sevilla?

That situated in the south of Spain city has ancient roots. Centuries ago it was managed by, among others, Romans, and then for long time, until 1248, by Arabs. Evidence of Muslim occupation are, among others, numerous monuments with characteristic, stunning decorations. Among them we have to name the symbol of Sevilla, a tower Giralda, an old minaret from the 9th century (you can admire from there the city’s panorama), as well as Patio de los Naranjos with breath taking, intricately made mosaics and gates. In a spot of an old mosque, in the 15th century a cathedral was erected, of which its architect supposedly said that “it will be so big, that those who saw it, would consider us madmen.”
