Thailand, officially known as the Kingdom of Thailand, is located in Southeast Asia and shares borders with Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Myanmar. Formerly called Siam, the country boasts a diverse landscape, ranging from the Chao Phraya River plain to mountain ranges crowned by Doi Inthanon, its highest peak at 2,595 meters. Among its most popular islands are Phuket and Ko Samui. Thanks to its tropical climate, Thailand attracts visitors with warm temperatures year-round; however, the best time to visit is from November to February, when conditions are cooler and dry.
