Warsaw, the capital of Poland and of the Mazovia region, is the country's largest city, set on the Vistula. It has more than 1.7 million inhabitants. The city offers landmarks such as the Royal Castle and the Palace of Culture and Science. The Old Town, destroyed during the Second World War, was rebuilt and inscribed on the UNESCO list.
