Cologne / Bonn (CGN) is an international airport in Germany. It is located 17 km from Cologne and 22 km from Bonn. It is the sixth largest airport in Germany and one of the few in the country that operates 24 hours a day. About 40 airlines fly from the airport. In 2012, it served almost 9.3 million passengers. The largest increase in travellers was recorded in the first decade of the 21st century, when low-fare carriers began operating from the Cologne / Bonn airport. There is one hotel at the airport, and two more are nearby.

Railway
The Cologne / Bonn CGN airport has a railway station. Trains run to Cologne Hansaring, Troisdorf, Aachen, Horrem, Munich, Koblenz, Berlin Ostbanhof, Dortmund, Stuttgart, Monchengladbach, Essen, Linz (Rhein), Hannover, Sindorf, Frankfurt (Main).
The S-Bahn (city rail) line 13 (direction Troisdorf) connects the airport train station with the S-Bahn (city rail) network in Cologne / Cologne. Travel time is about 15 minutes.
We also have taxis at the airport. Taxi stands are located in front of the terminals. The approximate driving time from the airport to the centre of Cologne is about 20 minutes, and to Bonn – 30 minutes.

Getting there by car to Cologne / Bonn CGN airport is very simple. The airport is located on the route connecting Bonn with Cologne. The A59 motorway (Cologne -Koenigswinter) goes straight to the airport.
