The international airport of Naples is one of the largest airports in Italy and the largest in the Campania region. The port is located in the Capodichino district of Naples, about 6 km from the city center. Its origins date back to 1910. During the Second World War, the airport was used by the United States Army Air Forces, and from 1951 to this day, there are American armed forces present there, that are the tenant of buildings in the northern part of the airport.
The airport has two terminals: T1 is intended for regular and low-fare airlines, and located further from the T2 port serves only charter flights. The port serves 45 airlines, which annually generate passenger traffic on it of over 6.1 million.

Bus
The 3S bus runs every 30 minutes between the airport and Napoli Centrale railway station. In addition, there is also a bus connection between the airport and Piazza Municipio in the centre of Naples. The bus leaves every 20 minutes. You can also get to such places as Avellino, Benevent, Caserta. Connections are handled by different companies, and buses depart every 60 or 90 minutes. Bus stops are in front of Terminal 1.
A taxi rank is in front of the arrivals hall. The trip to the center takes less than 20 minutes.
Thanks to the beltway, the airport is easily accessible from all sides. The A56 city motorway connects Naples with the metropolitan area and the A1 motorway to Rome, Salerno A3, and Bari A16. Coordinates for GPS car navigation systems:

Shopping – on the first floor of terminal 1 there is a shopping center in Napoli, where various shops are located. In addition, there is also a duty-free shop, a press sales point, and a souvenir shop.
Finance – currency exchange points, ATMs and a bank are located in the port area.
Car rental – six vehicle rental companies operate within the airport. Their stands are in the arrivals hall.
Luggage – in the departures area it is possible to protect luggage against damage with a special protective film.
Post office – in Terminal 1 there is a Post Office open from Monday to Friday from 8: 00 to 13: 30, and on Saturday from 8: 00 to 12: 30.
Health – the first aid point is open 24 hours a day and is located in the arrivals hall.
Internet – the airport offers free and unlimited access to the Internet.
