It borders Ireland and is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea, the English Channel and the Irish Sea. The capital is London. The country is famous for its rich history, culture and landmarks such as Big Ben and Stonehenge. The climate is temperate maritime, and the best time to visit is summer, when temperatures are mild and pleasant.
