An alternative to car travel can be well-organized public transport. Buses stop just outside the arrivals hall.
Train
The airport does not have its own railway station. Waverley – the main railway station is in the centre of Edinburgh. From the airport you can easily reach it by bus. From there, we can go in the direction of our choice in Scotland or England. Many connections also offers a different train station – Edinburgh Haymarket station, which is located on the route between the airport and the city centre.
There is a taxi rank at the airport. Taxi stands are in front of the arrivals hall. The approximate driving time between the airport and the city centre is about 15-20 minutes.

Edinburgh airport is well located. It is located near the A8 road (halfway between Gogar and Newbridge roundabout). The developed road network allows you to cover the distance between the airport and the city centre of Edinburgh in about 20 minutes. Access from the city centre is extremely simple and well-marked. Follow the A8 route towards the west according to road signs that lead straight to the airport.
