Republic of Ireland
Ireland is an island nation in western Europe, occupying most of the island of Ireland. It borders Northern Ireland and is surrounded by the Irish Sea, the Celtic Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. The country has a rich history, visible in its many castles and monuments. The capital, Dublin, is famous for the lively Temple Bar district and Trinity College. Its temperate maritime climate brings mild winters and cool summers. The best time to visit is spring and summer, when the weather is good for sightseeing.
