The city makes a perfect starting point for a tour along the two most beautiful routes in Norway – Trollstigen and Atlanterhavsveien. The name of the former one translates as “Trolls’ Footpath.” While hiking through spectacular terrains and 11 hairpin turns, you’ll see the road signs warning of trolls. The second of the routes crosses seven bridges connecting several small islands along the Hustadvika coastline. The longest of the bridges, Storseisundet, makes a characteristic sharp turn over the islands below. The road combines the beauty of nature with the craft of human hands.

Where to eat in Molde? For breakfast and lunch, go to Fole Godt at 61 Storgata. You may like, e.g., sweet courses, mouth-watering sandwiches, and soups. They also serve an excellent coffee. When it’s time for the evening meal, head to Molde Fjordstuer at 6 Julsundvegen. The restaurant specializes in sophisticated variations of Scandinavian cuisine. Not enough choices?
