Alaska Airlines, founded in 1932 as McGee Airways, is an American airline based in SeaTac, Washington. Along with Horizon Air, it is a subsidiary of Alaska Air Group, an airline holding company established in 1985. It connects the state of Alaska to more than hundred destinations in the USA, Canada, Costa Rica and Mexico. With its large route network, sizeable fleet and the number of passengers carried, it is USA's fifth largest airline. Its hubs are located in Seattle, Anchorage, Los Angeles, Portland and San Francisco. Alaska Airlines’ slogan is ‘Fly smart. Land happy’. The airline’s frequent-flyer program is Mileage Plan, which allows its members to collect and redeem "miles". Membership is free of charge. First-class passengers are served complimentary refreshments and can use digEplayers, which deliver in-flight entertainment, featuring film, TV and audio programs. It is also available on long-haul flights for a fee. WiFi can be accessed on all jets.
