Managua
Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, is situated on Lake Managua in the western part of the country. Home to over 1.8 million people, it is the largest city in mainland Central America outside of Mexico. It serves as an economic and cultural hub with industries such as cement, textiles, and food. Despite numerous disasters, like the 1972 earthquake, the city continues to grow and includes the Universidad Centro-Americana. The tropical climate, with a dry season from November to April, makes this period the best time to visit.
