Albania, located in the Balkans, shares borders with Greece, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Kosovo. To the west, it opens onto the Adriatic Sea, while the southwest coast meets the Ionian Sea. The capital city is Tirana. Around 75% of the country is mountainous, with lowlands stretching along the Adriatic coast. Notable lakes include Lake Shkodër, Lake Ohrid, and Lake Prespa. The Mediterranean climate brings hot summers, with temperatures reaching 30 °C, and mild winters. Spring and autumn are the ideal seasons to visit, offering pleasantly mild weather for exploring.
