  • The city of Mozart

Salzburg is known for having huge pride of its the most famous citizen – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. There is an airport, a music high school, a square in the city’s centre and even sweets that has his name!

  • Short opening hours

Upon visiting Salzburg, bear in mind that shops are opened there very shortly. During weekdays you can shop till 20, but on Saturdays they are closing earlier, whereas on Sundays they are completely shut the whole day.

  • Down-in-the-mouth face

In the Mirabel garden there is a vase with portrait of, apparently typical, down-in-the-mouth face of the city’s citizen. It is worth to visit that place not only due to the vase, but remember at the same time that it is just a stereotype.
