Aosta
Aosta is a city in northern Italy and the capital of the Aosta Valley region. It has around 35 thousand inhabitants. The city attracts visitors with its rich history and its proximity to 140 km of ski runs linked to resorts in France and Switzerland. Founded in 25 BC, Aosta has many Roman monuments, such as the ruins of the amphitheatre and the triumphal Arch of Augustus. Winter temperatures hover around 0°C, while summer temperatures reach 25°C. The best time to visit the city is spring or autumn.
